Experimenting

My ethnicity is Chinese and of course my natural hair is black. It's very difficult for people with black hair dyeing from dark to light, the only option is left if you want to rapid result is bleaching which damage the hair quite a lot.
I've read somewhere on the internet that Korean salons manage to dye from dark to light with an instant result without bleaching. Of course I wanted to try doing it too by purchasing hair dye from the internet. I'm not educated (yet!) but still want to try out.
My first time didn't work out (as expected).

Loreal Excellence Hicolor Hilight for dark hair - Ash blonde. I mixed it with Ion developer 9% 30 Volume

First of all, I have to apologize for my disgusting root with dandruff. I can't really say I have dry roots but my head is suffering dandruff...
It's really difficult to capture the precise angle with the right color, different lights and angle = different colors.
The second to the last picture on the left, I marked a white line where you can see the difference between the successful result and the unsuccessful one.
Gladly, the difference is bearable so I don't have to wear something on the top of my head to cover it. I can survive with the result.
Next time I'll buy the same color but with a higher volume of developer to see if it was the developer's problem or something else. I'll keep trying ^^.
