Hotarubi no Mori E
Speechless... in a good way. Not much to say about it but this is in my "you have to watch before you die"-list.
And yes, I did cry.
RECOMMENDED!
5 centimeters per second
This film was listed as 'One of the animated film you should watch before you die'. I watched 'The garden of words' before I watched 5 centimeters per second and what I can say about 'The garden of words' is I didn't disliked it nor liked it, it's meeh.
5 centimeters per second is one of the most successful or popular work from Makoto Shinkai. I admit I didn't understand the concept of the movie until I read the comments and it made me wonder if I really was stupid. Even though I didn't understand much of the message, I enjoyed every single moment of the movie because the art is immensely.. Beautiful. There are better words than beautiful but I can't dig it out from my brain right now.
Every single second from this movie can turn into a wallpaper. It'd be amazing if I watched it on the cinema rather than at home.
And no, I didn't cry. RECOMMENDED!
Anime:
I guess watching One piece was one of the best decision of mine ever!
If you are planning to watch Naruto and One piece, watch Naruto first before OP.
I'm a shoujo and romance type of person but I think One piece will suit almost everyone's taste since it is darn funny and refreshing. RECOMMENDED!
UPDATE: One piece has over 600 episodes and yes, that's not quite but very a lot (haha I know the mistake there). I was having anime-talk with my friends yesterday and one of them hasn't seen One piece but Fairy tail and Naruto and it kinda surprised me.
I told him to watch One piece and he responded "I don't know if I've the energy to do it, it has too many episodes".
What I want to tell you guys is, you SHOULDN'T let the numbers to stop your from watching it. I do agree it's a lot but as soon as you're watching it, it'll feel like 600 episodes are not even 600. At least it's like that for me.
A good anime won't make you realize it's over 100 episodes.
Kimi ni todoke
I've read the manga but I didn't know the anime existed? Kazehaya is damn handsome there.
Manga:
Akagami no Shirayukihime
if you liked Kaichou wa maid-sama, I think you should give this a try since it is quite similar to Maid-sama... I guess?
The biggest difference is, Akagami is not a comedy and it's "calmer"-version of Maid-sama. I don't know but it's a good one. Give it a shot!
Book:
To kill a mockingbird written by Harper Lee
I didn't get it or like the beginning of the book. Correct: first half of the book. After around chapter 15-18 which started to get REALLY interesting and I'm glad I didn't drop the book in the mid-way. I came to like the book pretty much. If I recommend a book, it means I fairly like it.
"It's a sin to kill a mockingbird" - this quote is stuck in my head for some reason. RECOMMENDED!Music:
SISTAR - Give it to me
Boa - Between heaven and hell
Yanagi Nagi - Last smile
Yanagi Nagi - Owari no Sekai kara
If you're planning to listen to one of Yanagi Nagi's songs, you just HAVE TO watch the music video and read the english
translation in order to achieve the right emotions.
Nishino Kana - watashitachi
Supercell - Giniro Hikousen
Sogeking
Compelled to add 'sogeking'. It was stuck in my head even though I never played the song alone. I still can't stop laughing when Chopper asked "sogeking": Where is the island of snipers?
sogeking: it is.... inside your hearts
OH MY GOD!
Overall:
This month has been a otaku month which only consisted animated characters.... Even the songs.... I guess if that's what inspires me then I'll keep doing it.
